Pop-Up James River Whitewater Rafting

Mini Whitewater Rafting Adventure on the James River

In partnership with RVA Duck Race & Festival of Inclusion, we will be offering Pop-Up Rafting on September 6, 2025, from 11am-4pm. These mini rafting adventures will tackle a small section of the Lower James, including the “Fishladders” and “Pipeline” rapids, and includes a shuttle back to the festival area. Our experienced guides will outfit you with equipment and give you a safety briefing before hitting the water.

Information:

Trip Time: Every 30 minutes from 11am – 4pm

Trip Length: 45 minutes

Location: Tredegar St. Boat Ramp @ The American Civil War Museum

Other Information

Refunds: If the water level prevents us from offering your activity, all pre-bookings receive a 100% refund. Otherwise, this is a rain or shine event.

Clothing/Changing: Come to the festival RIVER READY! We will have splash tops and some river shoes for people to use, but no changing rooms.

Gratuity: If you like your ride, tipping your guide is a great way to say thank you.

Alcohol: Do not consume alcohol before your rafting excursion.

Check-in: All participants must check in and sign a waiver before participating. Pre-booking is highly encouraged!
