White Water Inflatable Kayaking in Richmond
Explore the beautiful scenery and calmer stretches of the Upper James River in this white water kayaking trip. This stretch of river is ideal for families, nature-lovers, or a group of friends. We will meet you at Forest Hill Park (parking lot at the intersection of New Kent Ave and W 42nd St) before shuttling up to our put-in point about four miles upriver. You will get outfitted with helmets, PFDs, and paddles before receiving a safety briefing from the trip leader.
Designed to be very stable, inflatable, or ducky, kayaks are the perfect choice for an easygoing trip down the river. Tackling the mild Class I-II rapids will be a breeze, leaving you more time to enjoy the views and wildlife. We even have tandem kayaks if you’d like to paddle with a partner!
If you’re looking to experience the James River but don’t want the thrilling rapids of downtown Richmond, this is the trip for you!
