We will meet you at Forest Hill Park (parking lot at the intersection of New Kent Ave and W 42nd St) before shuttling up to our put-in point about four miles upriver. From there, you will embark on an expedition-style trip with personal gear, blankets, and food packed in dry bags on the raft.

About halfway down the stretch of river, we will stop on a deserted island in the middle of the James River. Relax on a sandy beach, in the river soaking, or on warm bedrock next to a fire.  Will be serving a catered dinner as the sun sets.  The menu will have meat, veggie, and gluten free options.

The main event comes shortly after dark with fireworks reflecting off the river as you snuggle up with loved ones and take in the moment. Once the smoke settles, we will paddle a short distance under the moon’s glow to our takeout point.
