Quick Details
RVA Paddlesports is excited to announce that we will be hosting a community paddle event for Richmond and Henrico’s Earth Day festivities, as well as in Hopewell this Spring. This event will provide an opportunity for our community members to experience one of the biggest sources of fun that our region has to offer, water recreation. We are offering a variety of paddling experiences appropriate for all ages and skill levels to promote inclusivity in the paddlesports community here in the Richmond area.
This year, RVA Paddlesports will be hosting three separate Paddle In Your Park events for Earth Day on April 20th, 2024, AND one event on April 27th, 2024 at Hopewell City Park that is sponsored by Beyond Boundaries thanks to the John Randolph Foundation!
- Dorey Park in East Henrico 4/20, 9am – 12pm
- Belle Isle Quarry Pond in Richmond 4/20, 10am-2pm (location changed from Bryan Park)
- Deep Run Park in Henrico 4/20, 11am – 2pm
- Hopewell City Park 4/27, 11am-3pm
We provide paddling equipment and safety gear at local parks for families and individuals to take out on the water and enjoy nature. We will be accepting donations on behalf of Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia for the Earth Day events. All proceeds from donations from this event will go towards that awesome organization! Can’t commit to a monetary donation but still want to help? Volunteer your time! We would like to extend our volunteer form to you and your company. If you are interested in helping out on the day-of, fill out this Google Form.
