Don’t let the cold weather keep you from progression your paddling skills. Join us for instructional and open pool time this winter at the Bellemeade Recreation Center.
Who: Beginners not familiar with rolling, Beginners looking to try kayaking, intermediates looking for roll instruction.
What: Learn the various techniques for rolling a kayak in a calm environment. We also work on hand rolls and combat rolls and flatwater playboating with intermediate paddlers.
Equipment: Boats and gear are provided at all of our clinics. We also have various sizes of playboats & C-1 set ups for students to try.
Where: Bellemeade Recreation Center
When: Fridays 4:00 – 6:00 PM – December 28th, January 11th & 25th, February 8th & 22nd
What to Bring: Participants should bring swimwear, change of clothes, and water shoes/footwear. If you have your own kayak you are learning to paddle we encourage you to bring that.
We Provide: Kayaks, skirts, helmets, pfds, paddles, splash tops, and instructors.
Cost: Roll Clinic or Intro Clinic – $60 per class / Private Instruction – $45/hr (all fees include use of gear) / Open Pool $10
Capacity: To maintain a quality experience for students and pool users we keep a 1:3 ratio for group instruction and maximum of 12 total paddlers in the pool at a time. All spots class/private/open should be booked in advance.
Bringing your own boat: If you bring your own boat just let us know. If you need us to provide a boat please share with us your height and weight or preferred boat.

Kayak Polo League is held from 6PM – 8PM for participants who want to practice kayaking in a competitive environment!
All classes require pre-registration due to limited space. Cancellations more than 24 hrs in advance will receive a full refund less a 10% transaction fee or a credit to another class date. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the class date can be rescheduled for up to a $50 fee.
